RF7B-E40 is a 90° photoluminescent anodized-aluminum resilient-flooring stair-nosing series. Ecoglo® identifies five photoluminescent strips and a non-slip strip across its approximately 2.19-inch surface. The series is available as RFA7B171 Black, RFA7B161 Gray and RFA7B151 Yellow.
RFA7B171 Black, RFA7B161 Gray and RFA7B151 Yellow use the same RF7B-E40 90° resilient-flooring profile. Select the anti-slip color according to the required stair-edge contrast, surrounding flooring, architectural design and project specification.

How is RF7B-E40 installed?
Install RF7B-E40 flush with resilient flooring using adhesive and mechanical fasteners.
The aluminum nosing is supplied with pre-drilled countersunk holes, stainless-steel fasteners and concrete nylon anchors. Standard hole locations are approximately 2 inches from each end and approximately 12 inches apart.
Does the RF7B-E40 series use a replaceable insert?
Yes. RF7B-E40 uses an insert supplied unattached from the aluminum extrusion.
The insert is installed over the mechanical fasteners using polyurethane adhesive. Ecoglo® specifies that the insert can be cut using a shear, while the aluminum nosing should be cut with an appropriate saw.
The abrasive insert should not be cut with the saw because it can damage the blade.
What aluminum finishes are available for RF7B-E40?
The standard extrusion finish is Clear Anodized Aluminum.
Ecoglo® also identifies Black, Light Bronze and Dark Bronze anodized finishes as additional-cost options.

Is the RF7B-E40 anti-slip color the same as the aluminum finish?
No. Black, Gray and Yellow identify the anti-slip configuration, while the aluminum extrusion has its own anodized finish.
For example, RFA7B171 is the Black model but can still use the standard Clear Anodized Aluminum extrusion.
How should I choose between Black, Gray and Yellow RF7B-E40?
Select the anti-slip color according to the required visual contrast, surrounding resilient flooring, architectural palette and project specification.
